York Rite Chapel Painting Installed

This summer, the museum was fortunate to receive an oil painting of York Rite Chapel, donated by an alumnus of the Orphanage. This painting was executed by Saralee Gray in the late 1950s for her husband, Superintendent A.D. Leon Gray, and given to her adopted daughter, Ruth Nichols Mauldin. The history of the painting is described in a brochure on display in the Ligon Gallery, alongside the newly installed painting.
